The Elephant’s horse and the wounded man’s leg
The problem we see here is we’re split by a hedge
The ant can’t see the thumb that’s been holding him down
Not even as he feels it crushing him into the ground
Skyscrapers don’t keep the wolves at bay
Even if the sheep are far and away
The black bear has crawled up the last apple tree
He’s eaten all the fruit for miles to see
Let’s go find a grove and settle down
Somewhere far away, not to be found
Is there such a place where the wild still roam?
No it is true the Eagle can still reach you by phone
The cat scratched the door till he got out
Now the bathroom’s open he’s still trapped in a house
We live our lives in freedom and this is what we believe
Not much different than a mouse, we’re caught in a dream
The world says you get what you deserve
So why do the good men get the bullets and the burns?
